This one's an encyclopedia. It's a good resource for recipes on the spot but may be overwhelming if you`re starting out. I like to have it on the shelf in case I'm looking to expand ideas but it`s recipes are so literal (an advantage to many) that I prefer to use this to brainstorm my own ideas from rather than to use it each piece. By far the best investment I have ever made.

Before I begin I have to point out that I have only been an Ableton user for a year. If you are looking for opinions offered by more experienced users then this is definitely not worth reading. I have been slowly mastering the basics of Ableton Live 9 and beginning to learn the more advanced concepts. Despite having countless frustration moments (I almost gave up twice) I have powered through the tedious learning and am now addicted. Then Ableton released PUSH.
For those relatively new to music theory and composition, purchasing the PUSH would be a wise move. After using the PUSH for merely 10 minutes I had probably learned more about music theory than I would have reading about it for an hour. I have read reviews that express concern about having features such as a fixed scale mode or showing where the center key is utilizing a brighter white light would have an adverse effect on a beginner/intermediate's learning process. All these features are created in order to streamline the production process. After I received the PUSH my composition efficiency skyrocketed. This, above all, got me immediately to what I wanted to do since I purchased Ableton; make good music.
One more thing. The quality and look of the PUSH is the best I've seen in any digital music controller.

WOW!

I have just unboxed this tonight, but after playing with it for about 20 minutes, and not even knowing what I am doing, I can already see how this unit is far superior to either the Novation play pads or the APC40. (I also have an APC 40, and it's still a great controller, but I already like Push more.

First, this thing feels like a solid iron block wrapped in space age plastic coating. It is built heavy, and solid, like it is built to last for years. I would still be weary of breaking off any knobs, but even the knobs feel like the are built to a very high tolerance and are firmly attached. The pads are a bit different than the APC 40. They are not as "squishy" as the APC40, but are built more like touch sensitive drum pads. One thing I noticed immediately is that the color of the clips in Ableton match the colors of the non-paying pads in pad mode. Now you have a total visual cue to match the buttons to your set in session view by COLOR. That's a great thing and a huge step up from previous controllers.

Without even cracking open the manual, the unit booted up, asked for a firmware update, which I did, and took about a minute, then rebooted itself, done!

There are 3 modes I found almost immediately: Note mode, clip launch mode, and sequence mode. I have no idea how the 3rd mode works, but I can see right away how this one controller could do a LOT in either a recording or live set. I actually found myself immediately drawn to playing notes on the note grid. I still haven't figured out the color coding or layout, but it IS playable almost immediately, and I can see ditching the traditional keyboard in favor of this unit once I understand how it works a bit better. It's obvious that Ableton really wanted to make an outstanding INSTRUMENT as well as a solid piece of hardware, and so far it shows.

I am excited to get a good night sleep and crack open the manual tomorrow to see how this thing REALLY works.

Jake and the Never Land Pirates - Guide Review for Parents

Where the worlds of princesses and fairies so captivate little girls, boys are ever enchanted with things like cowboys and pirates. Jake and the Never Land Pirates presents a pirate world both boys and girls can enjoy, however. With Izzy and her pixie dust providing the deus ex machina at the end of every episode, at least all of the ones I've seen, and recurrent characters such as Marina the mermaid and the Pirate Princess, girls can feel just as represented by the characters on the show as boys do. Boys and girls alike will enjoy the bright animation, lively characters and paradisaical settings, not to mention the kid-friendly, non-violent swashbuckling action.

Though historically pirates have represented a highly dishonorable and unsavory section of society, Jake and his band of "puny pirates," as Captain Hook calls them, could not be nicer. Jake and team excellently model positive social concepts such as sharing, fair play, doing the right thing (even when you don't have to) and more. The characters also encourage young viewers to count along as they add up their gold doubloons at the end of each episode.

The storylines in each episode often follow a similar pattern. Captain Hook steals something or otherwise causes trouble, and Jake and friends have to get their treasure back, whatever it may be, or stop him from doing something unwise. The stories are short and go quickly, so the show is a faster pace than some other shows directed at the preschooler age group. Due to the fast pace and somewhat loud music, this can be a show that gets a little obnoxious if it's on for too long.

In reasonable quantities, it's not bad, though, and kids will enjoy the rockin' pirate music that provides a backbone to each episode. You can also expect to hear your kids repeat some if the fun-to-say phrases often used on the show such as: "Ah coconuts!" "Ye hey, no way!" and "Yo ho, let's go!"

Jake and the Never Land Pirates is an Annie Award-winning musical and interactive animated television series shown on Disney Junior. It is based on Disney's Peter Pan franchise, which in turn is based on the famous book and play by British author J.M. Barrie. It is the first Disney Junior original show following the switch from Playhouse Disney. It stars Sean Ryan Fox, Megan Richie, Jadon Sand, David Arquette, Corey Burton, Jeff Bennett and Loren Hoskins. The titular character Jake was previously voiced by Colin Ford, and then later by Cameron Boyce, and now Sean Ryan Fox, while Izzy was voiced for the first three seasons by Madison Pettis and Cubby was voiced by Jonathan Morgan Heit. Operates perfectly, as designed.

I've read most all of the other reviews, and experienced some of the same issues shortly after it was installed by a contractor. I was getting more and more frustrated with it (wouldn't come on, wouldn't shut off, came on by it's self, etc,) and was ready to call delta customer assistance. Instead, I downloaded the installation/owner manual and read the electronic section carefully. After making two changes, described in the manual, it worked perfectly. I moved the battery pack at least 2" from the sides of the cabinet sides and moved the wires further apart from each other. I believe most of the issues that others have had are all related to the installation of the faucet rather than the faucet or electronics.

Nice touch
This faucet has some nice features that make it very desirable.
It's nice not to have to do anything more than to touch it to turn it on when you have dirty or sticky hands as well as turn it off during a cooking project. The turning radius is also a nice feature. There are a few cons however that could be improved. It must be installed EXACTLY AND PRECISELY to make it work properly and at times it will turn off unexpectedly.
Overall it is a good product that is desirable, stylish as well as funtional.

Great faucet & great support!

We did a whole house remodel in 2009 and one of my "presents" to myself was this faucet #saw the first commercial for it as we were discussing the kitchen and immediately wanted it#. It has been a godsend when needing to turn on the water with either extremely filthy hands or hands that were full. We've had a couple of issues with the solenoid#s# going bad #we just ordered our 2nd in 3 years# but Delta has been extremely helpful everytime I've called - from detailed instructions to quick service. We have changed the batteries twice #with the 1st solenoid replacement a new battery pack was sent replacing C cell with D cell batteries# and I would definately purchase another Delta Touch2O faucet in the future!

Excellent product

I purchased this product not only for its convenience but for the fact that I can turn on and off the flow of water using only the back of my hand or forearm. This was very important to my wife and I as we were always worried about cross-contamination when cleaning a turkey or chicken at the sink and using our hands to turn on and off the water, This product has eliminated that problem by letting us use the back of our hand or forearm
.I have been using this faucet since early 2010 and have never had a problem with it, never even having to change the batteries yet.

Forget the handle

The technology is very simple and effective for in home use. As you become use to this a soft touch to turn it on and off you will laugh at sinks without the faucet. The Touch 2O has a nice design esthetically and has earned a place in our home as a required item. From the youngest to the oldest we all enjoy the change this product has brought into our lives. As you start to use the faucet you find yourself touching other faucets only to realize they have to be turned on and adjusted every time. Touch 2O is the only style of faucet we will put in our kitchen from now on.
